PREREQUISITES
This class suits people who are inexperienced in government based compliance, audit or investigative roles. This course will cover the basics and fundamentals of investigations as well as allocating longer periods for completion of assessments.
If you feel you have the experience in undertaking investigations or are in a compliance or audit role you may wish to consider the shorter Intensive version of this course.
DURATION
10 days class room plus self paced, distant learning and workplace evidence based components. Average time for completion is between 12 – 24 months.

OVERVIEW
The Certificate IV in Government Investigations provides you, or your team, with the knowledge and skills required to enable you to undertake a government investigation. The course covers a range of key areas including gathering and managing evidence, interviewing, taking witness statements, giving evidence in court and reporting on investigations.
The Australian Government Investigation Standards August 2011 state that the minimum level of training or qualification recommended for investigations staff is Certificate IV in Government Investigations, or its equivalent.
